Noclip's Arkane documentary contains a treasure trove of new details about the development of Dishonored and Prey, but the studio also spills the beans on some projects that never saw the light of day, including its Half-Life spin-off, Ravenholm.

Minecraft Dungeons is a action-RPG dungeon crawler in the style of Minecraft—thus the title. We said in our recent look at the game that it feels closer to games like Castle Crashers, or even Overcooked, but the most obvious comparison is to the king of the genre: Diablo. It came out today, and it turns out that the Diablo connection is more than skin deep: Minecraft Dungeons has a secret cow level.

Indie publisher Kitfox Games has all kinds of exciting projects on the horizon, including the graphical release of Dwarf Fortress and Boyfriend Dungeon. Here's another one to add to the pile, shown off today in the Wholesome Games Direct livestream—Mondo Museum, a museum management sim that gives off some strong Sims vibes despite being a smaller indie project.

Ooblets releasing in early access 'pretty soon'
https://www.pcgamer.com/ooblets-releasing-in-early-access-pretty-soon/
Hyper-cute creature farming game Ooblets will release in early access "pretty soon" according to a new trailer.
The tease was shown during the Wholesome Direct, a stream put on today by Wholesome Games, which is a collection of social media accounts riding the dramatic increase in use of the word "wholesome" that began in 2016 for some reason. (What in 2016 could've possibly caused a desire for idyllic escapism?)

Silent Hill's Pyramid Head is coming to Dead by Daylight
https://www.pcgamer.com/silent-hills-pyramid-head-is-coming-to-dead-by-daylight/
The asymmetric horror game Dead by Daylight has kept things fresh since its 2016 release through crossovers with numerous other horror series, primarily movies, including Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The newest crossover, available now in the public test build on Steam, adds Konami's classic Silent Hill to the mix, including a new Midwich Elementary School map, a new survivor, and—of course—Pyramid Head.

The team-based tactical shooter Nine to Five was announced at The Game Awards last year by Redhill Games, a studio launched in late 2018 by former Remedy Entertainment CEO Matias Myllyrinne. It promised to prioritize teamwork over twitch reflexes: Myllyrinne said that the game will challenge players "with creative new mechanics to bring back that classic feeling of playing with friends, finding your role, and working together to outplay the competition."

Take-Two SEC filing hints at Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2023
https://www.pcgamer.com/take-two-sec-filing-hints-at-grand-theft-auto-6-in-2023/
Take-Two Interactive filed a Form 10-K with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission last week, indicating among a great many other things that its annual minimum contractual obligations and commitments for marketing in fiscal year 2024, which ends March 31 2024, will be more than $89 million, well over double what it will spend in FY2023 and FY2025, and nearly nine times as much as it will drop in FY2021.
It's a very big, weird bump—but why do we care? Because, according to investment analyst Jeff Cohen (via VentureBeat), the very steep, sudden spike in marketing costs could be a sign that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be out sometime in 2023.

Off the back of the fantastic Anno 1800, Ubisoft is digging into its back catalogue of city-builders, sprucing up the previous, historically-focused Anno games. Anno 1602, 1503, 1701 and 1404 are all being touched up with new History Edition re-releases, each updated and optimised for modern systems. These new editions also come packaged with each game's respective DLC, and are all being bundled together in the Anno History Collection release.

Eternal Hope is a Limbo-like journey to save the soul of your beloved

I've never been much good with conventional arcade platformers, but I've got a real soft spot for games like Limbo, Inside, Trine, and The Final Station. Make your jump-and-run game slower, more visually impactful, and give it a story to tell, and chances are I'll be all over it. So I have high hopes for Eternal Hope, a new game being developed by Brazilian studio Doublehit Games that's set to come out in August.
