Bolded: You should read the whole sentence and not just cherry pick words and interpret something else into it. He is talking about textures updates and texture upgrades. And even the "unimportant" characters got texture updates just by looking at a comparison video. Can't obviously confirm for all characters. So, they are not the same as the original one even if the amount of polygons of the models suggests it.

He clearly says "Although these updates aren’t built from scratch, it would be nice if you could tell the difference."

And you equal this to mean the models aren't the same as the original? Their textures might not be, but the models are.

Just stop. You seriously need to work on your reading comprehension. Look at my sentence: "So, they are not the same as the original one even if the amount of polygons of the models suggests it." Meaning: They have the same models from what I can see, but due to the new texture they got they don't count as the same as in the original game. 

I don't know why it is so difficult for you to understand….
