Seems that with the $100 discount to the 3900X as a response to the new Intel CPUs, AMD might be launching a new refresh of the 3000 series while we wait for Zen 3 with higher clock speeds. If true and seeing how closely the 3000 series already performs against Intel's cpus in gaming, it might bridge the gap even further.

It is pretty crazy how competitive AMD has become. I guess they believe in the whole, if you give them an inch, they will take a mile.
