I don't know if that jump from SNES to N64 will ever really be matched, unless we hatch some amazing VR tech overnight that simultaneously reduces the barrier of entry to a modern equivalent of $149, makes a large leap in visuals over current gen games, and makes the setup fair less cumbersome.
