I personally don't remember them talking more about the audio support than the graphics itself(exclusing games, of course.Games are always more important), during the PS3 launch.

But this refers to all previous gens. Even if what you say is true, there is still like 8 other gens in which that wasn't true.

Because HW and SW have budgets and technology limitations, so audio tempest wasn't really possible before PS3. And audio had a good effort put into PS3 and PS4, now they have increased it even more.

Also why would devs and platform holders focus their presentation on the sound (when a lot of people don't have a great surround system nor is that concerned with sound) instead of graphics that is what most of the customer wants?

Bolded: That's what I have been saying all along.

Because the graphics won't be that much better compared to the 8th gen. Honestly, I didn't think the Unreal Engine 5 demo looked much better than something like Uncharted 4, honestly. What blew me away on the demo was the lightning(especially the reflection) and the sound reveberations. God, that was so awesome.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
