Looks like Nvidia and AMD's next gen GPUs will be launching in September!

https://www.digitimes.com/news/a20200521VL200.html

It's worth keeping in mind that the article talks about GPUs, not gaming GPUs. There's a chance that some of those could be enterprise products.

But I hope they're the gaming parts because... well, it's always interesting and it would also be about time!

Could also be paper launches.

Either way, we are due for new GPU's.

Same unless AMD manages to pull something truly amazing which to be fair, they did before with Zen loll.

AMD will further close the gap, and that will already be a success. Anyone who expects anything else than that will be disappointed.

Yeah. nVidia is moving to a smaller fabrication process this time around, there isn't going to be the 12nm vs 7nm difference we saw with Turing vs RDNA.
That will potentially give nVidia an efficiency edge.

AMD needs to work on it's GPU architecture and not manufacturing to drive it's efficiency up, they can't exactly move to 5nm yet to remain competitive, RDNA 2 will introduce a slew of new features though to the red team.

Might be time to upgrade that GPU of mine later this year...
