What has happened, and still happens, with monitors is mental. The low and mid segment have stagnated for years and years, stuck at 1080p and 60Hz, with the only change being that now many are IPS. But beyond that point, the high end and the enthusiast market, the tech inside them has advanced a lot, but at the cost of insane prices.
