I read this WCCFTech from this week where they speculated that Nvidia was going to split the manufacturing of Ampere between TSMC and Samsung (Nvidia tried to force TSMC to lower their prices and it backfired, thus needing Samsung to produce enough chips), so reading the same in this rumor isn't surprising. It's worth keeping in mind that we've sen before the use info from a previous rumor to give credibility to another one, tho, so it's worth the salt that Yuri mentions.

The IPC gains may not seem like much, but paired with the incresed clocks and the beefier specs, it could bring a 30-35% increase in performance if not more.

Anyway, we'll see some of that proven true or false in 5 days.
