No need to jump the gun. Nintendo's fiscal year report is due this week and that also means a Q&A session with investors who are bound to ask how corona is going to impact Nintendo's business in the coming months. I am pretty sure that Nintendo had games scheduled for July to September and if corona is really causing delays, then those games are getting pushed back into the holiday quarter while games originally scheduled for the holidays are likely to slip into next year. The worst case as I see it is that June to September have no first party releases, but the holiday quarter won't be empty. But we'll know soon enough how we have to set our expectations for the rest of 2020. |
I just feel like if there were games planned for July-September, we should know them already, so I'm not so confident that your worst case scenario is the worst case. In regards to BotW2, if the July-September games are delayed, surely that would mean BotW2 is as well. I pegged it as the holiday release were it to come this year. I'd love to be wrong about all this of course.
