for this generation look at the run away successes you got games like GTA V and Minecraft (yes they started last generation but have grown a ton through this gen). The Last of us is the best selling sony game and it was a similar case to the other two god of war and spider man have done good though not as good as some switch games as they have started creeping into the top 50 and the switch is only 3 years old.
