Currently, customers in USA can get a 60 GB PS3 with the Emotion Engine for 500 dollars, while European customers can get it without the Emotion Engine for 600 euros. As you probably know, that means 816 dollars, or a 316 dollars difference. Yes, I know that part of that difference is taxes and higher distribution costs, but I also know that Sony is screwing European customers. Will this go on, or will they drop the European price too? Are they happy with sales in Europe? |
you've already answerd to your question...selling 20K PS3 per week at 816$ is just like selling almost 30k consoles per week in the US...and i bet Sony would be quite happy if they could sell 30k consoles per week in the US in this time of the year.
