Can you define "safe" as admittedly I'm not that active on this site but I don't think most people here would want to attack you or anyone else based on your sexual orientation.

I feel that some of those "questionable" threads you're referring to are just some users who don't agree with certain social politics being forced into some videogames and want to express their opinions some might, do it better than others, but it's not that they have problems with LBGT people in general.

Basically a place where people feel comfortable enough with being open about who they are without feeling like they are being attacked.

Threads where people attack the developers decisions to make a character part of the LGBT spectrum fall into that paradigm. If you do not agree with a company's decision to have a specific type of character, you don't have to buy the game.

Yeah i agree and i think most people don't have a problem with who you are and expressing your sexuality, i sure don't.

I agree that if you don't like the direction the game is taking you dont have to buy it, but that's why fanbases exist, they support developers with what they create and pay big money for it. But not when the developers add a certain "message" in to the game that really makes the fanbase feel attacked and divided, in favor of others when none of that is really necessary. It creates an Us vs. Them kind of thing and creates this whole toxic athmosphere for both sides when this is really just a videogame were talking about we're all supposed to have fun playing.
