They already told us before the game came out that it be separate from the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7 and .. its not true. They made 3 references to it. Then we have the the ending statement that said " The journey to the unknown continues" . That was specifically requested by Kitase.

That's silly. How is making nods and references to the compilation, or building a new version of the story by taking elements of all the FF VII projects to make one cohesive whole mean that Kitase isn't trustworthy?
