Yeah, it's kind of odd, but I'd define my dad as a half-gamer. He absolutely LOVES war FPS games. He doesn't play much (as we've tried to get him to learn how to play games, but he claims he doesn't have the coordination for it), so he really enjoys watching my twin brother and I play various war FPSes, and tells us what to do. I don't know if I've ever seen him as excited as I did when he watched "Death From Above" on COD4 (greatest level of all time)
Right now, I got:
- Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
- Tom Clancy's Endwar (not a FPS/TPS, but I think he'll enjoy it)
- World in Conflict (")
- Call of Duty 5
And I'm sure I'll get a few more. At some point, I might get him a Wii in hopes that the controller might get him to play it more, ala machina-AX, but there's not a huge boon of FPS games on the system (yet).
And to totally turn this thread upside down - if I ever bought a Wii, what current War FPSes or similar, are out there? Again, no Sci-Fi ones (aside from Red Steel, he might like that )...I had:
- Red Steel
- Call of Duty 3
- Call of Duty 5
- Medal of Honor
For that list. Any others that might be good for a 60 year old?
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
