I'm tempted to get Digimon Hacker's Memory.

For those who played it, If I enjoyed the hell out of Cyber Sleuth, is Hacker's Memory worth buying for 12 bucks? How does it compare to Cyber Sleuth in terms of overall content? Is the story interesting?

Edit: No sale for Danganronpa V3 really sucks. What's up with Spike Chunsoft and this game? The cheaper I've seen it is 39'99...

I thought about buying digimon but i'm really unsure if i will enjoy it when playing,is it like pokemon?

It's been three years since I played Cyber Sleuth, so my memory is a bit rusty on the matter. But I'll try to answer your question.

It's similar to Pokémon in the sense that you use creatures to battle in turn based combats. You "capture" these creatures, evolve then, unevolve them if you wish, some can even fuse together...

But the overall feeling of the game and how everything works is very different from Pokemon. For example, most Digimon have evolution branches. That means that there are certain conditions that will make it evolve into one species or another completely different. Another example is that, while you are limited to a certain number of Digimon in your party, is heavily encouraged to have as many trained Digimons as you can. The game makes relatively comfortable and easy to do this, unlike Pokémon where unless you want to spend a crap ton of time grinding, you will most likely stick to a set team of 6 for the main adventure.

The story is more mature and complex than any Pokémon game can hope to be and it's a much more important aspect of the game itself. Also, since Digimon can talk and have personalities, there are actual Digimon characters.

The game does not feature an open map, but different areas separated from each other similar to Persona games. There are side missions to complete scatered around these areas.

These are some examples of how different Pokemon and Digimon are. If you like Pokémon, I think you are gonna love this, because while similar, it's different mostly in a good way.
