Whether or not you intended it, the post did come off as mildly aggressive and condescending. I know that middly was intended as mildly, and that's exactly the kind of nitpicking that comes off as mildly aggressive.  

I'm not saying you did mean either post that way.  I don't claim to know what's going on in your head, but this is how it comes off to other people.  

Just like when you said Stetch but I know you meant Stretch, but the difference here was I just gave a definition. The middly was the aggressor here by false premise, but I'll accept it because perhaps I shouldn't include words like "remedy" and "confusion" in that other post. (playing ffviiR a lot)
