Whether or not you intended it, the post did come off as mildly aggressive and condescending. I know that middly was intended as mildly, and that's exactly the kind of nitpicking that comes off as mildly aggressive.
I'm not saying you did mean either post that way. I don't claim to know what's going on in your head, but this is how it comes off to other people.
