It did sell a lot digitally as a result and has sold probably more than 1 million copies(physical+digital) already considering they've sold through(physical + digital) more than 970k+ already in its release week.

I do think the numbers are great, just thinking it could have done even better if they had shipped more. But as noted by someone FFXV had an initial shipment of 5M and took months to sell, so perhaps SE due to covid (impacts both in logistic and people going to stores) cut the shipment in half (or close to it) to be similar to what FFXV sold in first week.
