It's Flight Simulator. That one always needed very high specs.

@JEMC And as to why a Radeon VII instead of a 5700X: It can possibly put it's raw power better to use, similar to GPGPU workloads. Again, that's something which wouldn't be too surprising for Flight Simulator. Either way AMD doesn't have anything as powerful as a 2080 in gaming workloads yet, so they couldn't put something of equal performance there either way.

You're right, in some cases the Radeon VII is faster than a 5700XT, and maybe this is one of those games where this is the case.

That's something that won't happen again with AMD (finally) splitting their architectures in two, for gaming and HPC.
