Cyberpunk 2077 remains on track for September, CD Projekt says
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-remains-on-track-for-september-cd-projekt-says/
The coronavirus outbreak has knocked a lot of plans off track: Conferences have been cancelled, hardware has grown more scarce and expensive, and games and updates have been delayed. But one company that's staying the course, for now at least, is CD Projekt, which said in a 2019 overview released today that despite the shift to working from home, the scheduled September release date for Cyberpunk 2077 remains on target.
>> Well, if they delay it they'll have to face the launch of the new consoles, that can harm the sales of the game on the current machines.

Valorant accounts are selling for $150, but Riot warns that buyers can be banned
https://www.pcgamer.com/valorant-closed-beta-key/
The Valorant closed beta got underway yesterday, and it was a huge hit: Riot announced today that it attracted more than 1.7 million peak concurrent viewers on Twitch, setting a new record for single-day hours watched in a single game category. (...) The popularity of the beta has resulted in a startlingly large number of Valorant beta accounts available for sale on eBay, with "buy it now" prices commonly starting around $150. Riot warned against trying to jump the queue, however, saying that it is "actively looking into account sellers," and that users who buy access to the beta could end banned from the game. Anecdotally, we've also seen plenty of folks making multiple accounts on Twitch in the hopes it would increase their chances of getting a key, but Riot said there are also filters in place to distinguish viewbots from real viewers, so you probably shouldn't do that either.

Call of Duty: Warzone replaces Trios mode with Quads, and not everyone is happy about it
https://www.pcgamer.com/call-of-duty-warzone-replaces-trios-mode-with-quads-and-not-everyone-is-happy-about-it/
The third season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now underway, with a new battle pass, a new hero, and a new Quads mode for the free-to-play battle royale Warzone. As the name suggests, Quads groups players up in teams of four rather than three, which has been the norm so far. The new mode hasn't gone over very well with a lot of fans, though, because it's not being offered alongside three-player squads, it's replacing them entirely.

Hearthstone's Demon Hunter class is already getting nerfed
https://www.pcgamer.com/hearthstones-demon-hunter-class-is-already-getting-nerfed/
Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland expansion went live Tuesday, bringing with it the Demon Hunter, the first new class to be added to the game since it debuted in 2014. Today, senior designer Dean Ayala said that Illidan Stormrage's newcomers are bringing a little too much heat, and so nerfs are on the way.
Update: The planned changes have been detailed on the Hearthstone subreddit. This update is entirely server-side, meaning that you won't have to download anything—it will all happen behind the scenes.

Disco Elysium is an unexpected hit in China, thanks to a new translation
https://www.pcgamer.com/disco-elysium-is-an-unexpected-hit-in-china-thanks-to-a-new-translation/
With its flagrant exploration of sexual violence, drug use, and scathing critique of different political ideologies, Disco Elysium is a game that would never get the greenlight from Chinese government censors. But that hasn't stopped this detective RPG from becoming a surprise hit with Chinese gamers who use Steam as a loophole to access unregulated and uncensored games.

Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor gets a slight delay as devs adjust to remote work
https://www.pcgamer.com/elder-scrolls-online-greymoor-gets-a-slight-delay-as-devs-adjust-to-remote-work/
The next Elder Scrolls Online expansion will roll out "about a week" after its confirmed May 18 release date, ZeniMax Online Studios has announced. It's a fairly small delay, and it's for a good reason: the studio is adapting to remote work in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Stardew Valley is getting bananas
https://www.pcgamer.com/stardew-valley-is-getting-bananas/
Bananas are great, and it's welcome news that they're coming to Stardew Valley thanks to a recent Twitter poll pitting tropical fruits against one another. Eric Barone confirmed bananas as the victor today, and if that image above is anything to go by, it won't be long before they're added to the game.

Planet Zoo Easter cheats give everyone balloons and make animals 'super fluffy'
https://www.pcgamer.com/planet-zoo-easter-cheats-give-everyone-balloons-and-make-animals-super-fluffy/
The Planet Zoo developers are celebrating Easter by introducing four cheat codes that make your park a little bit weirder.
You can increase animals' fluffiness to make them look like they've been over inflated. You can also give every park visitor a ballon and make them all release the balloons into the sky at the same time. There's also a physics cheat that lets you click on "physics enrichment items" to make them bounce around. Finally, there's one that causes mating animals to spawn tiny love hearts. Aw.

Enderman doesn't mind if you look at him in Minecraft Dungeons—just don't get too close
https://www.pcgamer.com/enderman-doesnt-mind-if-you-stare-in-minecraft-dungeonsjust-dont-get-too-close/
There's something delightful about seeing Enderman appear in Minecraft Dungeons. It's sort of like spotting a celebrity on the street—a completely familiar figure but in a new context. It's a surprising little thrill. Hey, I know that guy!
