I actually didn't even consciously choose my setup look as good as possible; when I moved into my current flat I setup my TV and couch based on the width of my living room rather than resolution vs viewing distance, and I chose my current TV cos it had a really good deal going when I went to get a replacement after my last one died.

It is great when we accidentaly get things right.
