I'm currently playing Mario + Rabbids, liking it so far. But it's IMO a shame you can only use 3 characters in battle.

Something to expand on with a sequel :o

I enjoyed Mario + Rabbids, but for some reason it just couldn't keep my interest. Kept having to come back to it.

Yeah I don't know, I feel the same.

It's funny because it's not a title that's talked about particularly a lot. But whenever it's brought up, it's mentioned like the second coming of Ubisoft, a blessing on the Switch. It has pretty visuals, a strategy system that has a surprising amount of depth and actually does punish the player for making dumb moves (looking at you on both counts, Three Houses), and pretty decent environmental interactions. It just feels ... bland. Which is surprising given how controversial the Rabbids crossover was prior to it's announcement. It's like, in the process of trying not to annoy anyone, they ended up making something totally safe and inoffensive, which just makes it boring. Boring music, somewhat tepid jokes which land less than half the time, and imo the worst take on the "plasticy Mario" visual style (and this is coming from someone who loves 3D World and thinks it looks genuinely great, I'm not really sure what's wrong with Rabbids' version but it's definitely noticeably worse). Not even the fake cursing can save it! The lack of variety in characters is also super disappointing. Donkey Kong seems like something that should have been in the game originally. I'll finish it eventually but yeah, it's the kind of game where every so often I'll put 5 hours into it and just be done with it for the next 8 months.
