Because it's the best Doom game and one of my favorite shooters of all time.

It's not a perfect game, the super shotgun is almost OP, there is no sprint or dashing and it gave us an actual story which never forced itself too much but I still never cared for it but overall the game felt like an actual Doom remake with added glory kills. everything about the fast gameplay, the enemy and weapon designs, Mars and for some the music were all incredible.

Doom Eternal has its improvements but otherwise feels entirely like a downgrade from everything Doom 2016 did so right.

First I love the dashing I'll never understand why ID forgot to add this in Doom 2016 Doom is supposed to be fast moving and killing enemies in front of you. The Fast forward is awesome whenever I want to go back for something that I missed I don't have to restart the whole level again. The game runs incredibly smooth props to ID for that and last but not least they finally got rid of the handgun.

But why the hell do I need to use the chainsaw everytime i need ammo. The chainsaw used to be a optional fun weapon just to kill enemies in old Doom games but now it's a necessity cause you will always run out of ammo no matter what weapon you use or how many times you upgrade and you'll need fuel for the chainsaw luckily it fefills itself but still why do I need this for ammo. Not only that but glory kills are now a necessity for health and flamethrower for armor this is supposedly meant for you to be strategic  and not go running around shooting everything in front of you like you know in a Doom game?

The level design reminded me a lot of Metroid Prime large open levels with puzzles and platforming I'll be honest the platforming works well enough in this game. But it's makes the game so slow and boring at times i just want to  move on and get into tough battles but no the game forces you to do all sorts of puzzles most of which requiere you to jump around and either press a switch or break some wall then move on to the next puzzle and do the same thing again.

The enemies are mostly the same from 2016 but do more damage and now they will always fight each other on first sight but never kill each other... so Whats the point of this? The one and  only enemy that stands out is the Marauder some people hate him because he feels cheap and isn't really that hard to beat but demands patience I liked him but it just felt like a wasted opportunity not giving him more significance to the story not just lore, speaking of which.

The story is HORRIBLE it's tries so hard to make me care about Doomguys past (which is a flaw in of itself since you're supposed to feel like the Doomguy) but the guy looks so bored out of his mind throughout the whole campaign not even he seems to care for this tragic past of his, not once does he feel angry or menacing like he did in 2016, the story is also full of pointless cutscenes, forgettable side characters like the betrayer or that UAC spokesperson that won't shut up about politics, forgetable villains like the priests that do literally nothing but die, lots of talk less showing, pathetic boss fights.

I really wanted to finish this game as fast as possible when I got to the last act, this game had its fun moments but boy did it take a lot of steps back from what 2016 gave us.
