Mark Cerny went around asking what developers want, and thus PS5 was tailored to fit their needs. As a result we got a better SSD than what is currently out in the market. Why a powerful SSD is important? Here is an example; Try playing Star Citizen on a slow SSD, or a HDD. You can have the best GPU, CPU, and RAM but it will load assist like SHIT. For a huge and seamless game such as Star Citizen, you need speed, as well as a powerful GPU and CPU. Both XSX and PS5 have very good CPU and GPU, but I think if developers want to make more huge and seamless games with as little load time as possible like Star Citizen, then they're going to want a speedy SSD as well.

This is why I made the switch to a nvme 4.0 m.2 ssd. It's the future.
