This whole thing is kinda terrifying and becoming moreso. I'm sure it's not as bad as it seems but yeah.
I remember buying the last (shitty) PC in 2015 and needing the seller to send me another code. Otherwise the PC was useless. It upgraded to Windows 10 pretty early, though.
