But it's correct that the XC2 expansion should be played after XC2, because the expansion sheds more light on specific XC2 characters. But it's also logical to begin with to play an expansion after a main game.

I'm not gonna deprive myself. Just...postpone it for a bit. I would've started XC2 within the next couple of weeks, but with the remake coming out in May it's not that long a time to wait to experience them the "right" way.

Yeah, with XC comming so soon, don't play XC 2 first.It's not like you will spoil XC 1 story THAT much, but they are connected(It is a sequel) and it just loses that tiny bit of magic at the end.
