XB has suffered enough. It's a new gen and time to give them another chance. Gotta see if they run with it or piss it away. Made my edit late, lol. Oops. PS3 was a fairly significant change. BC didn't hinder making PS3 games themselves, but it held those games back way more than people think due to lack of sales through price. If PS3 had launched more like the Slim even at just $499, it would have sold so much better. $399 would have allowed it to quickly match 360 sales if not get ahead, but I have a hard time believing they could have launched that low by just removing BC and having it be a little smaller. Having the $599 'high end' model really hurt them, because that wasn't normal for consoles like it is for everything now, and people thought if they couldn't have the best, why bother. Not to mention the 'high end' 360's $200 lower price and momentum by then. XB1 was basically a more affordable 'shitty PS3'. MS tried to do the same thing as SNY by creating an all in one box, but they skimped on the gaming portion of it to save cost, and then added something most didn't want on top with even more cost. By removing Kinect, like PS3 removing BC, they fixed the price issue. By adding Game Pass, they in their own way, partially fixed the games issue, like PS3 and it's later gen exclusives. XB1X hasn't fixed things as much for MS as PS3 Slim did for SNY, but MS screwed up pretty darn bad, in a social media world, and PS has always had way more brand recognition to help drag them out of the mud. |
Hey man I won't hold it against them I just don't see them pulling throw. If they do deliver on the games front I have no issue of supporting them. At least on pc the few games they might have that would like. If they do good on the games front I would definitely buy the xsx.
And I get what you are trying to say .They did turn a lot of things around and you can say xbox is a diferent brand than it was in 2013. But they dint fix the lack of games problem and its still just a promise for next gen. I would have preferred they left all the bad practices they had but focused on games instead. I honestly think they would have faired better.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
