Doom Eternal is out, and while it shipped without support for real-time ray tracing, the developers did implement an HDR toggle. The only problem is, HDR appears to be partially busted at the moment.

Starting on March 26, new Hearthstone players and those returning after at least four months away will be given a free deck from a class of their choice, built with cards from the Year of the Dragon, when they log into the game. Blizzard said it hopes the initiative "will help players feel empowered to jump right in and experience the latest of what Hearthstone has to offer!"

Outer Wilds is an exploration adventure/camping trip across strange worlds orbiting a star that goes supernova every 20 minutes. It's weird, yes, but it's also very good: "Charming and inventive," Phil said in his 89/100 review, and hiding "a cleverly unfolding mystery." It launched as a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store in May 2019 with a promise of "additional platforms coming later," and now it's official: Outer Wilds will go live on Steam on June 18.

With the second Borderlands 3 expansion, Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock, set to go live in just a couple of days, publisher 2K Games has announced details about the next level cap increase, which will go live alongside the expansion. Following the update, players will be able to take their characters to level 57, which will unlock two capstone skills instead of just one, which should provide "a huge surge of power for endgame players and unlock all kinds of new build possibilities."

Despite the announcement on February 28 that this year's Game Developers Conference would be indefinitely postponed as part of the global response to the coronavirus pandemic, some talks from the original March 16-20 schedule still went ahead. These pre-recorded Virtual Talks, on various topics impacting game design and development, were originally streamed on GDC's Twitch channel last week, and have now been made available for anyone to view—for free—either on Twitch or via the GDC Vault.
