So you not only throw Direct3D 12 + Direct3D 11 into one pot (which are fundamentally different) but ALL Direct3D APIs since the Nineties?

It's not fundamentally different nor it's revolution by any means both are still Directx API which is just an evolution for each iteration. That's why many games from Xbox original can be ported and emulated on Xbox One , Xbox series (what ever) and future Xbox .
