So this released and i'm not even sure yet where to put my thoughts on the game, it feels odd to play but I can understand where it is trying to lead me into a loop i just haven't got there yet nor has my style adjusted to how the AI runs circles around me while trying to stay alive. After two hours last night I've decided to drop the difficulty to Hurt me plenty and let the game flow more which i'm sure will improve my enjoyment and man, oh man does it run like ass at times on my PRO. Actually I can't tell if this is frame pacing or or just the speed of play that is required because it moves so damn fast. Turning off motion blur helped quite a bit and turning on a setting on my TV that smooths frames. Feedback in hand is amazing, some of the best I've felt and i'm sure that gets even better as you adjust to the speed required. Love the platforming. Love the map, if it is just a bit slow to open. This shit is gonna be good.

So far I've found the best settings for the smoothest and more fun play with a controller to be 60, 50 on sensitivity. Aim assist not completely off but bumped down a great deal while keeping smooth movement on but at the very least getting rid of sticky aim as that shit gets you killed. And I concede for once, that i wish I had a PC powerful enough because that is obviously the place to play this game, it's feels almost a shame to be playing it on PS4 at all.

Thoughts? playtime? Doom 64 first?

Digital foundry : "the PS4pro was the most stable of the bunch"  (when talking about the stable 60fps promised on doom eternal)

Supposedly the PS4pro runs it well.
Dureing the testing in a demanding area that digital foundry showed, it was only a few dips down to 59fps, otherwise it was 60.
"exedingly rare" when it comes to dips.

They called it "effectively a locked 60fps" on the PS4pro.

"The optimisation here is excelent" - DF.

DF says the Xbox One X, isnt as stable in FPS, and it has occasional "hicks" where it cesses up, and you run into a stuter.

However DF also said, both versions run alot better than Doom 2016 did.
