Sony Cuts PlayStation 3 Price by $100, Projects Sales to Double

Could be just me, but this price cut announcement seems to be missing something.

Before the "cut" PS3 was $499/$599
Post "cut" PS3 is $499/$599...

This is obviously some new meaning of the word cut I wasn't previously aware of.
