Well they are going for the system recognizing what you have and giving the best version possible. So if they wanted they possibly could allow you to instead of run the code for XSX to run the X1X from HDD. For me that doesn't seem a good choice though.
You are just painting a strange scenario where someone is in a tremendous hush that he can't wait for the transfer to SDD but would be fine with several load screens =p
