I must admit, it's still kinda disappointing to me that Sony/MS seem eternally set on the path of incremental hardware upgrades; that's a big part of why I prefer Nintendo, they almost always try something new and fresh in terms of hardware and controllers, and while that doesn't always work out, when it does we get systems like Wii and Switch that are just so much more exciting to me than a standard console with better graphics. 

I guess I'm just not Playstation or Xbox's target audience any more.

On the HW front I never seem so much new features announced as Xbox done with their system. And PS 3D audio and SSD solution are very fresh.
