In what represents the biggest change to Hearthstone in the six years since it launched, the next expansion will introduce a brand new 10th class. Many players had long given up hope of that ever happening due to the balance complexities it involves, but with the arrival of Ashes of Outland on 7 April, the fearsome Demon Hunter class will become fully playable.

At the 2018 Game Awards, No Man's Sky developer Hello Games announced a new project called The Last Campfire. Being developed by just two people at the studio, it's a smaller-scale game than No Man's Sky; studio head Sean Murray described it as being similar to Pixar shorts, saying, "It's a way to foster creativity and new voices in the studio."

It can get lonely out in space, exploring the universe in a one-person ship. With the addition of multiplayer and lots of NPCs, No Man's Sky isn't as isolating as it once was, and now you can even be accompanied on your journey by little bobblehead figurines.

Exit the Gungeon is now on Steam

The sequel to Enter the Gungeon, which is appropriately named Exit the Gungeon, released exclusively on Apple Arcade in September of last year. We figured the exclusivity period would be about six months, and it turns out we were right, because Exit the Gungeon released on Steam today.

Doom Eternal is the first game in the series to ship without an online deathmatch mode, which is noteworthy because Doom pioneered it. Minecraft is charming in its original voxel form, but wow does it truly transform with ray traced lighting cast across its blocks. "I want to live inside of it," wrote Shaun when he played Minecraft with ray tracing last August. The version he played was a demo created by Nvidia to showcase its RTX graphics cards and their ray tracing support. It also came with a custom texture pack to help the ray tracing shine. We haven't heard much about it since. This week, Microsoft showed off Minecraft with ray tracing running on the upcoming Xbox Series X—but it's a new implementation, made to run without Nvidia's RTX tech.

Tales from the Borderlands is returning, if a leaked trailer that appeared on Reddit is the real deal. The Telltale and Gearbox collaboration was one of the best things to happen to Borderlands, and now it looks like it's getting a 'Redux' version.

Blizzard is investigating Battle.net problems and a DDoS attack

Battle.net got a bit temperamental on Tuesday evening. Some players reported that they were getting disconnected from games, while others were unable to log in entirely. Blizzard said it was investigating some issues, but there's no word on whether or not they've been resolved.
