That's a pretty awesome setup. 1080Ti is hell of a strong gpu!

I would actually consider Intel if you are looking to upgrade to a new cpu only cause Ryzen 4000 is supposed to be the last cpu of the AM4 socket and 2021, they are supposed to do a brand new socket where as with Intel in their tick tock nonsense, the upcoming desktop cpu is on their brand new socket so in terms of future upgradability, might be the better choice.

Then again, who knows what cores will be at what price points with Ryzen 4000 and the increase in performance is always a nice boost so we shall see loll.

Aye, it's still doing me good 3 years down the road!.

Ooh yeah, I get that, but in all honesty, I'd just give this build to my GF when I transfer to a new socket, meaning she'll have my 1080ti, 16gb DDR4, while I go for a new build with a new mobo, NVME, SSD's, 3000 series etc. She'll basically get what I have now, but with the 6700k being replaced by the Ryzen from this yr.

I want to do a completely new build, since this current one sports a Corsair tower, designed with the drive bay stacked vertically with a CD drive disconnected within. I want a new tower with the drive bays stored near the PSU (horizontal), so I can improve frontal airflow (also not a fan of cases with tempered glass, since it means one less fan, which means less air pressure).

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see
