Opinions are good, we all like different things

My experience, I played both the enhanced versions on my xbox X, I would choose Skyrim, no questions about it, but I'm a bit different than modern gamers, I like the freedom and I prefer games with gameplay instead of videos and people talking, in witcher I'd be able to lay down the controller for several minutes at a time, and then I would move 10 seconds and have another cutscene for like 5 minutes or more.

I am against this mentality in videogames, I believe story is great but should be quick clips, like uncharted for example, or like several games where they tell the story while you move the character, and I also hate games when you are not allowed to move at speed, when they force you to walk slow while they are talking, its boring, I play games for gameplay, story helps but don't cut me out of the game altogether.

Skyrim is perfection in this, it allows me to play the game and the story is told anyway.

Witcher has several things I hated not just against skyrim but as gaming in general

1 - The quests you get a bunch just on billboards, that's no fun, I prefer to get quest as I'm exploring the world and talking to people

2 - I am forced to be Gerald, I don't want to be Gerald, I want to be myself in the game

3 - You only get 1 single weapon for the whole game, unlike Skyrim and other rpgs where you have a wide range of weapons

4 - If you meditate, anywhere anytime, you just refill your potions, what? That's cheating, and I hate cheating in games, in skyrim if you run out of potions, guess what you need to find them or buy them or craft them, furthermore if you need sleep you need a bed in skyrim, not just any bed either

5 - auto horse riding, seriously? I laughed when I saw that

6 - A lot of combat feels like cheating, just keep spamming Quen and you are always protected, that feels like cheating

7 - Witcher 3 is not a full open world, its in sections

8 - Story is bland, just looking for ciri that's it

9 - To play witcher 3 it helps to have played the previous ones, same characters and such, but skyrim its like its own story

10 - The most important thing in gaming from the very beginning of history of games is FUN, witcher bored me, its too slow and a bit tedious at times, on the other hand, all Elder scrolls are FUN

11 - I hate the witcher sense, basically several missions you have to find something, you just keep following a red arrow, that's it, CHALENGING? Yeah very difficult to just follow a red path for minutes at a time.

12 - They try to put a lot of naked people and sex in the game, because they assume gamers are teens nerds who have never seen a naked girl before, skyrim respects us and treats us like adults

13 - I found the witcher extremely easy on the hardest difficulty, I've been playing games for 30 years I expected a challenge, I think its too easy mostly because you can just spam the signs all the time. Some people find it hard because they don't even bother to learn how to use oils and upgrades and such.

14 - I like in skyrim that you start out from nothing, you have to build up from a very average guy, in witcher you start out with amazing clothes, amazing weapon, amazing skills

15 - You have 2 weapons for different enemy types, but that's pointless because he automatically picks the right weapon for the enemy type, might as well just have 1 sword and call it a day

16 - Skyrim feels more connected, because you can speak with anyone and everyone seems like a character, but in Witcher people are just there for show

17 - You can rob peoples houses with them looking at you, and you wont get arrested, people will still love you

18 - Skyrim has so much more variety, you could play as a swordsman, or totally different game as a bow and arrow, or a totally different game as a wizard. Witcher you play one way and that's that

19 - You can have your own houses in skyrim
