Umbrella Chronicles has pre-rendered video so i fail to see your logic of how a game having pre-rendered video alienates it from the Wii. Resident Evil doesn't need big flashy graphics because that's not what is selling now and that has never been what has sold Resident Evil games, and even then the Wii is more than capable of doing big flashy graphics. I fail to see how dated information from a two year old E3 remains pertinant when the console race has shaped up much differently than anticipated while Capcom had all along stated a willingness to make a wii version. If things are so sure fire for a PS3/360 debut of this game, why has no info been released since 2005 on it? Why is the game in developer hell. If Capcom's game's need flashy graphics why did they announce putting forth almost all their effort into the DS and Wii. If RE5 will be a PS3 slam dunk, why has nothing been said to hype it as such for a console desperate for killer games? You'd kill the RE franchise in Japan if you put RE5 only on the PS3/360 which would almost certainly ensure a port to the Wii if they had any hope of recouping the franchise there. Does this garantee RE5 on the Wii? No, there is no garantee, but there is really no evidence to suggest it won't be either. There's also no reason to think their original plans for the game's release set long before the PS3's flop and the Wii's triumphant success will stay the same especially in lieu of this suspicious information blackout on the game. |
Well, the fact that RE5's video sports superior graphics. But, thats not the point, moving on.
Reseident Evil is always a game that takes full advantage of the graphical capabilities of a console. It has always been praised for it's graphics. And has always done well. I beleive the developers would want to take full ability of it. Plus, when it was shown was importina. At E3 2005 you know how many publishers had games coming for the Wii. 1. Nintendo. If anything was shown at E3 as prerenvdered it was for the 360, PS3 or PS2.
Also, I don't think Capcom cares about RE's chances in japan. The only ones that sold over 1 million were the first two. It's been a flop their ever since. The other thing is, Unbrella Cronicals. Think it's a bit odd were getting a spin off.
