You have a narrow vision of what a remake is.

And you have a rather broad one. I understand why you like it and like I said, it has good gameplay. Yet that doesn't stop me wanted a remake that has all the things this does have but with gameplay that is closer to the original (Seriously 'Stagger' from FF13? That made it in). Random battles? Good, they are gone, sign of the times, not needed. Fixed 3D pre-rendered scenes? Gone, good, sign of the times. Expanding the way you explore is part of the remake of modern standards.  Games have better environments now so including such a feature would be stupid, allowing your character to explore an environment is a great way to expand the game. Old chibi character models? Gone, good, we have technology to redender characters and facial movements to a superb degree. Sound? Music re-imagined while keep with it's original feeling and concept, voice acting added, giving life to the characters. Great, good, nice addition. All good.

This battle system? Which isn't like FF7 even when the game is advertised as such? Not for me. Slap it in FF16 and I'm all over it. Your reaction to me wanting FF7 made to modern standards listed above but with a battle system closer to what I enjoy(ed)? "Go play the original or remaster."

Thanks, nice advice, I'll put that with the other 753 times people have told me.

Hmm, pie.
