It's not speculation when everything I said were just quotes from Phil Spencer. These are all facts
The only thing we don't know with 100% certainty is how the games will scale. But using the lowest common tech denominator makes the most sense if they are aiming to reach as many gamers as possible. That's also just a scientific fact. Unless, of course, they are planning to sell 100m Series X's and sell it for $399. So maybe we should just wait till they announce a price, because then things will probably become a lot more clearer. |
This is the same nonsense you were spewing in that other thread that got nuked out of existence.
Spencer said we will be playing on hardware for “the next decade plus”. That could be 40 years for all we know. He’s also said local hardware will ALWAYS be superior to streaming and that streaming is just a convenience. You know he said these things, we reminded you in the other thread and probably this one too.
You like to cite the interview Stinkles gave about Halo Infinite and how it “will run well on Xbone” as evidence that they are building the game around Xbone and then just upgrading some visuals for XSX. You ignore the part in that same interview where he says developers aim for the best hardware because it doesn’t fit your agenda.
The first party games are only cross gen for a max of 12-13 months. Doesn’t sound like the grand scheme you’re making it out to be.
