While playing a Hack-n-Slash game, did you ever get the feeling that the enemies are just there waiting to be killed? I'm pretty sure you didn't get that feeling in Ninja Gaiden unless you are a gaming god.
I believe that's the kind of fact which would lead people to say Ninja Gaiden is a more hardcore game.
