I took this from Neogaf, but here's some reasons why Diablo III may very well be announced tomorrow at Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational:
-29 of June is the 8 year anniversary of Diablo 2 and D2:LoD, just 1 day after the Worldwide Invitational.
-Blizzard recently acquired the the diablo3.com domain.
-Blizzard has been hiring people over the last years for a secret project "from the developers of Diablo and Diablo II".
-Richard A. Knaak, the author of the DIablo: Sin War trilogy has said that he isn't writing for a dead universe.
EDIT: 29 of june is actually the 8th Year Anniversary of Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
