Are you guys serious? I love Nintendo, but wii games being in top graphically? They look beyond horrible, jaggies everywhere, bad textures, 480i resolution, which can be updated to 480p if you buy the cable for it, still very far from the typical 640p-720p last generation.

Mario galaxy looked decent, I still love it, but nothing like when Nintendo came with Mario 64 and it was a graphical marvel compared to the ps1, or even the gamecube when it had Mario sunshine and luigi mansion and graphics were really great compared to the ps2.

You misunderstand, we're not saying these Wii games are among the best looking games of the entire generation, just that they are the best looking on the Wii.

And i actually think the best looking Wii games still look quite nice even at 480p.

Quite nice? What screen size do you play on? They look acceptable but that's it. Wii was never supposed to compete in graphics, wii was supposed to be a new way to play games and to broaden the gaming audience. I'm not even mentioning 480i resolution which is basically half 480p, Im more concerned for the jaggies on all 3d games, Galaxy was alright on a 32inch TV, any bigger than that and jaggies was just in your face.

With that said, Mario 3d on wiiU looks amazing on my 100inch screen, really impressive.

On top of that only a couple top games looked decent on wii, if you put stuff like call of duty or other 3rd party 3d games it looks horrible.

But who are we trying to fool here? The wii is barely more powerful than a gamecube, as gamers we know it doesn't look as good as 360 games. And that's OK, Nintendo didn't promise any more than that.

This is actually the biggest reason I was surprised the wiiU didn't take off, because on big HD screens it looked miles ahead of the wii, much sharper, more colourful, almost no jaggies in sight. The difference from wii to wiiU is much bigger than ps3 to ps4 or 360 to One.
