You straight up moved the goal post, because Koei is pretty happy with their Switch sales otherwise they wouldn't keep porting games to the system.

Hell they said this back when the Switch was only a few months old and they only had a few games on their

We also only know their platform split in Japan, every other country is unknown. But its very safe to assume their games worldwide sell great on Switch.

No I didn't. I'm simply adding to your post that the success of Atelier is largely due to the PS4 not the SW.

And? Where are SMTIV, IV Apocalypse and Strange Journey on ps4 then?

Those are 3DS games lol

Multiplatform or not, that's not my point.

My point is that whatever Koei Tecmo released on Switch in Japan, they have found success. Doing worse than PS4 shouldn't be an insult or a negative towards the Switch. The games are doing well on Switch. Selling worse than another console shouldn't mean jack without context. Consider the developers/publishers' expectations, percentage of stock being sold, sales legs, etc.

Also, as of now, Fire Emblem Three Houses appears to be not far behind Nioh in the sales department with 2.58 million sold worldwide as of December 2019 and likely received a sales boost thanks to Byleth's inclusion into Smash Bros. Ultimate and the recent release of the new story DLC for Three Houses.

SW has a larger userbase and the sales for those games are considerably worse than PS4 in Japan. That alone should tell you where the audience is at for those games at that moment.

Fire Emblem Three Houses is a Nintendo game. KT are just devs on a contract. Nearly every dev these days outsources some part of their pipeline to other devs, that doesn't make the game said devs' game.

Well some of these franchises have made their mark on PlayStation primarily before the Switch was a thing so it’s not surprising. So what you’re concluding is that devs should just not care about the Switch in Japan anymore at this point because Switch sales of their games are worse than PS4?

also, KT mentioned Fire Emblem Three Houses in their Fall Quarter report (alongside Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3) so its identified as part of their lineup last year, along with Nintendo. Also, a majority of Three Houses’ development was done by KT.
