I haven't played FF7 in about 10 years, so I don't remember the load times specifically, but I don't recall thinking too negatively of them. For being on a disc-based console, FF7 is not the game to bring into discussion when criticizing load times. But given what Shiken has said, and his clear bias, I would imagine he inflated his numbers by 30% or so to suit his narrative. I think he measured several times, and used the worst-case scenario, and I think he started and stopped the timer at the wrong time.
