@Hynad, how can you call out Ocarina of Time for its framerate and saying things like "N64 was chewing more than it could"... when FF VII on PS struggled to keep 20 FPS on battles? Are you serious? xD

It's hilarious the arguments some of you people choose to defened Final Fantasy VII. Instead of reminding people what that game did well (and there sure are many things it did great), you keep throwing bullshit like a framerate war were FF VII at best TIES with OoT and at worse LOSES, try to downplay OoT gameplay because "it was improved by future games" and is not as refined as modern action adventure games when that can be said for almost every 5th gen game including FF VII... among other dumb stuff of similar caliber.

Seriously, you are not doing FF VII any favour...

His hate for OoT and his undying love for FFVII are too strong to keep a straight mind at this point. I absolutely know no one from that era that complained about the framerate of OoT this fervently.

The thing is... on that era, unless you were playing on PC (and even that wasn't a guarantee)... many games had inconsistent or low framerates by today's standards. Specially on N64 and PS1. So, while there were games with glorious 60fps (Tekken 3 and F-ZERO X come to mind) or solid 30, people of that time pretty much accepted the inconvinience... and a lot of people didn't even notice about 24 FPS and so.

And even if as he said, he played Ocarina of Time at the time it released and was bother by the low framerate, he should also be bothered by every other game that had a similar problem. Including FF VII. But it seems he either has developed a selective memory on that matter... or he's lying.
