Pointing out "flaws" that pretty much exist only in your view of the game, which again is in the minority. I understand you are a FFVII fan, but you don't have to throw shade at Ocarina. I played the game in 1998 not long after I had played VII. I know what I saw.
FFVII set a new standard in story telling and presentation for its genre and did kickstart a booming era for JRPGs. Ocarina of Time set a standard for gaming as a whole, and that's why it got all of those 10s.

Pointing flaws that are only in your head is. Its your opinion and everyone has one. But yours is not a representation of most who played the game, mine is. There is no Kool aid, just telling the truth. Because you are willing to quote a source that gave FFVII a 9.5, but the same source gave Ocarina a 10.0 it goes both ways bro. IGN, EGM, etc weren't drinking the Kool Aid bro, if they were they also drank it for FFVII.
