How did FF7 shape the future of JRPGs when it was basically FF6 with polygons and pre rendered backgrounds. Everything else remained the same.

Iv played and finished Zelda OoT, Chrono Trigger and FF7 and i just dont see the innovation you speak of. FF7 has a fantastic story thats basically it.

That you question FFVII’s mark on gaming history and what it achieved, out of bias and a clear need to contradict everyone, especially when it pits something against Nintendo or XBox, is really getting old and predictable.
