Well, here in Ecuador, a south-american country, the PS3 costs as much as (be prepared) $1000. And I doubt that price will drop anytime soon. However, with my 15th birthday in October, which is an important birthday for any teenager in my country, I'm likely to obtain enough money to buy a PS3, but I'd have doubts about buying it at the $600 pricepoint (THERE'S NO ****ING WAY I'M GONNA PAY $1000, ECUADOR RETAILERS CAN BITE MY A** AND HARD! HARD!!!). However, now that it's pretty much confirmed that it's going to cost $500 (the 60GB version, at least) I'm as good as sold on one.
On the other hand, in order to get a PS3, I'm (or my parents) is (are?) going to have to go to North America. I won't buy it at $1000...NEVER, ****ING NEVER DAMN IT! So I guess it's still going to be a long ways for me to get my PS3. (Then again, I can always ask my grandfather nicely to bring me the PS3 and I pay him here.)
