Are you fucking serious right now? So what about the still backgrounds and the scenery around the original FF7, does that not invite imagination? The characters that we meet along the way, the characters inside towns and some for only a few scenes don't inspire imagination?

If you don't understand that creation typically involves more imagination than observing, I can't really help you.
