Antarctica also broke a record. A recording of 70 degrees (nearly 21c) was noted back on the 9th.

20,75 degree's celcius messured at Antarctica.
Also apparently the last time, this much melt (in antarcitica) happend, was over 100,000 years ago (Eem-periode).
Back then sea levels were 3m higher than now.
